November 2, 2014
Dear Parents,
I trust you all have had a great week. I can’t believe that it is the 1st of November already. As you may have heard, my knee surgeries did not go quite as expected. I go back next Monday and am praying that I can return to school on Tuesday. I miss the children terribly and am not very good at just “taking it easy.” I hear practice for the Christmas program is going very well. All the children will be playing the bells and singing. The M, W, F children will also be doing a play.
Important dates to remember:
Mon., Nov. 3 November tuition is due. Remember there is a $2/day late fee
for payments received after the 1st of the month.
Wed., Nov. 5 Early Release (11:00 for ½ day & 1:00 for all day)
Fri., Nov. 14 Scholastic Book Orders due. Thanks!!!
Fri., Nov. 14 OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD DONATIONS DUE
(Note Date Change)
Mon., Nov. 24 Thanksgiving Dinner (12:30 dismissal for ½ day children,
regular time for all day children. (Everyone needs to bring in
$2.00 for lunch on that day)
Tues., Nov. 25 Thanksgiving Share A Feast (1 cup of favorite snack, No nuts)
Wed., Nov. 26-28 Thanksgiving Vacation
Our schedule for this week is as follows:
Phonics: We meet the letter Bb. Bb says b, b, b in bear. New words are bat,
bit, bell, tub, and bob.
Numbers: We will write the number 5. Our penny count is at 27.
Art: We will be making fall crafts.
Students of the week are Addie Evans, Cheyene Fleagle, Ryan Fritz, Brecken Gray, Taytum Gray, Reagan Hammond, Brooklyn Harman and Tucker Hatfield. Please fill out enclosed sheet and return with 10-15 pictures.
Our class has been pretty healthy so far and we are constantly striving to keep germs under control. If your child has been ill, please keep them at home for 24 hours after all symptoms have disappeared. Little ones get sick so easily and this helps cut down on the possibility of spreading germs.
God has truly been at work in our class. The children are developing a real bond with one another and it’s an awesome thing to be a part of.
Have a wonderful weekend!!
