It’s hard to believe that another week has come and gone so quickly. We are truly enjoying all 62 of the children God has sent to our class this year. Each day gets better and better as we learn our routine and get more organized. Each child is a unique and special gift and it is exciting to see personalities and friendships develop. Thank you for entrusting them to our care this year.
Brumbaugh’s Field trip is next Friday, Oct. 19. Please make sure your child wears their red T-shirt on that day. We have not been doing very well in getting all the children to wear their shirts. It makes it much easier to distinguish our children in a large group when they are all dressed alike. Cost is $6 for children and adults and the money needs to be turned in by Wed., Oct. 17. We will be leaving at 8:30 on that day. Don’t forget a sack lunch and drink if your child stays all day The T-shirt order has been sent in and hopefully will be here for the field trip.
We still have many children who have not turned in their money for the Elder Beerman books to help finance Grandparent’s Day. If you did not sell your books, they need to be turned back in. Please do so by Monday
Please turn in all book orders by Mon., Oct. 22. Thanks again to all who purchased books last time. We were able to get some more Storia books with the extra points The class loves these interactive books!!
Our schedule for next week is as follow: Phonics: The M,W, F class has met all the vowels and will now begin meeting the consonants, beginning with the letter Tt. Tt says t, t, t in turtle. Three olds will meet the letter Ff. Ff say f, f, f in frog. Numbers: We will be writing the number 3. Art: We will be squirrels and wreaths. Please have your child bring in 15-20 fresh and colorful leaves. A wide variety would be greatly appreciated.
