Oct. 3, 2014
Dear Parents,
It’s beginning to look a lot like fall. The days are getting cooler and it always seems to be quite windy on the playground. Please dress your child warmly when they come to preschool. We try to go out for at least 15 minutes every day around 10:00, and it can be quite chilly.
Upcoming Important Dates:
Fri., Oct. 10 Brumbaugh Fruit Farm We will be leaving at 8:30 and
returning at 12:00. Children who stay all day will
need to bring a sack lunch and drink for when we get
back. Admission is $6.00 and needs to be in by Wed.,
Oct. 8. (Red T-shirts) T-Th children may attend with a
parent. Please let me know if you are meeting us
there. Car seats required!!!
Fri., Oct. 17 Scholastic Book Orders Due.
Fri., Oct. 24 No School
Please remember to send in the money for Elder Beerman books.
We will begin practicing for our Christmas program next week, so don’t be surprised if your child comes home singing Christmas songs. I know it doesn’t seem possible, but the Christmas program is just 9 weeks way and we have a lot of work to do!! Also we will begin collecting items for our “Operation Christmas Child” boxes. We filled 22 boxes last year. Items needed include small toys, soap, socks, underwear, coloring books, crayons, etc. No liquids or war items please. We have toothpaste and toothbrushes donated
Our schedule for next week is as follows:
Phonics: We will meet the letter Oo. Oo says o, o, o in octopus.
Numbers: We will be working on number 5. Penny count is at 13.
Art: We will begin making pumpkins and apples.
Students of the Week are Lia Bohn, Lyla Brewer, Simon Brown, Kedrin Btrumbaugh, Nate Conley, Skyler Derksen, Aubrey Eley, and Lux Ernst. Please send in All About Me Sheet and 15-20 pictures.
Have a Great Weekend and see you all at the School Fair!!!
